Begin by opening My Computer. Then, open Dial-Up Networking. In Dial-Up Networking, open Make New Connection. Complete the next three screens as pictured, clicking Next to advance. On the last, click Finish. The “XXX” in Telephone number: text box is for your exchange (ex. 549 …). Once back to Dial-Up Networking, right-click the North Penn Access icon, then click on Properties. Press Server Types. Complete this screen as pictured, then click on TCP/IP Settings. Select Server assigned IP address in the top box, and Server assigned name server addresses in the middle box. Then close all of the screens by clicking on OK. The Final Step is to create a shortcut on the desktop for the dial-up connection. Return back to Dial-Up Networking under My Computer. Right-click the North Penn Access icon, then click Create Shortcut. Click Yes when a prompt is given to create a shortcut on the desktop. This will place a North Penn Access icon on your desktop.
